Argentea When it blooms these leaves will thicken at the top and eventually form a tube that will extend 3 to 4 inches over the base. They gather micro nutrients from the air and water in structures called trichomes on. Air Plants prefer filtered sunlight as their natural home is under tree canopy. This makes them perfect house plants.
