I just shipped out this Walnut Platform bed with integrated storage consoles to an architect in Steamboat Springs, CO for his personal residence. It’s always special when designers and architects trust my design and experience for their own homes. I first designed this bed in 2020 to apear like it hovers just above the ground. Hence the name, “Float bed.“
This solid walnut platform bed is designed to be minimal and modern, with one part of Scandinavian and one part Japandi aesthetic. There’s even research that sleeping lower to the ground can improve your health and quality of sleep.
One of the things I pride myself most on for this design, is its ease of assembly, and ability to look great even in the center of the room. There’s no “back side” to this gorgeous walnut platform bed which has been an Etsy Staff pick for 5 years running!
